After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its rolling savannah, towering baobab trees, and large herds of elephants. The Tarangire River provides a lifeline for wildlife, attracting zebras, wildebeest, lions, and countless bird species.

Spend the day on game drives, with a picnic lunch in the park. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu, a small town on the edge of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast, continue into the southern plains of Ndutu, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ndutu is renowned for its role in the Great Migration, where wildebeest herds gather between December and April. The area also offers excellent predator sightings, especially lions and cheetahs.

Enjoy a game drive en route before arriving at your tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Spend the entire day exploring the Ndutu woodlands and plains, a favorite area for big cats due to the abundance of prey. You’ll have the opportunity to witness thrilling predator-prey interactions, elephants grazing along acacia woodlands, and migratory herds stretching as far as the eye can see.

Return to camp in the evening for a relaxed dinner under the stars.

After breakfast, head north towards the Central Serengeti, known as the “heart of the Serengeti.” This area is home to resident wildlife all year round, especially around the Seronera River Valley. Expect to see leopards resting on acacia branches, lions lounging on kopjes, and large herds of plains game.

After enjoying a final early morning game drive in Serengeti, soaking in the last sights of the endless plains and its incredible wildlife, you will begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

En route, you may choose to make an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge Museum, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world, often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind.” Here, you can learn about the earliest human fossils and the history of mankind.

Continue your scenic drive through the highlands, with changing landscapes from the wide-open plains of Serengeti to the lush and cooler climate of Ngorongoro. The dramatic views of the crater rim and the surrounding hills will leave you in awe.

By late afternoon, arrive at your tented camp in the Ngorongoro Highlands, surrounded by wilderness and offering spectacular stargazing opportunities at night. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay immersed in nature.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most remarkable wildlife havens in Africa, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This natural amphitheater shelters more than 30,000 animals, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, and the endangered black rhino. The crater floor is also home to vibrant birdlife, with flamingos decorating the shallow waters of Lake Magadi.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater surrounded by dramatic views of the crater walls and open grasslands.

In the afternoon, drive back through the Ngorongoro Highlands and the bustling town of Arusha before continuing to Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
