After breakfast, depart from Karatu and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park set beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Spend the morning exploring its diverse habitats, from groundwater forests alive with monkeys and hornbills to the open plains where elephants, giraffes, and zebras graze. If lucky, you might spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions or witness large flocks of flamingos shimmering along the soda lake.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your drive to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) for your onward journey.
